Terms of use

These terms govern your use of hopelightlabs.com, the Hopelight Quote application and the Hopelight Network (together, the "Services"), operated by Hopelight Labs LLC ("Hopelight", "we", "us"). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you use them on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind that company to these terms.

1. Accounts

You must give accurate information when you create an account and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at contact@hopelightlabs.com if you think your account has been compromised.

2. Hopelight Quote subscriptions

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe. Plans renew automatically until canceled; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Fees are not refundable except where required by law or stated in a written agreement. Trials end automatically unless you choose a plan. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you put into the Services, such as emails, quotes, rules and lane history. You give us permission to process it only to provide and improve the Services for you, as described in our privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to share that content with us, including any third-party data sources you connect.

4. AI-generated drafts

Hopelight Quote suggests prices and drafts replies using your data, your rules and automated models. Suggestions can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing every quote before you send it and for the prices you offer. Market data from third-party providers (such as DAT) is used under your own license with that provider.

5. The Hopelight Network

  • Hopelight is a software provider, not a freight broker, carrier or shipper. We do not arrange transportation, take possession of freight or take any commission on loads. Any agreement for a load is made directly between the shipper and the broker.
  • Brokers must hold valid FMCSA broker authority and the required financial security, and must keep their listing accurate. A "verified" badge means we checked the MC number on the FMCSA register at a point in time; it is not a guarantee of performance. Shippers should do their own checks before booking.
  • Shippers must post real loads they intend to ship, with accurate details.
  • Offers are visible only to the shipper who asked; brokers must not try to discover competitors' prices.
  • We may hold, remove or decline requests, offers and listings, and suspend accounts, to keep the network safe.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Services. In particular, don't: post false, fraudulent or misleading information; impersonate another company or person; send spam or phishing links; scrape, copy or resell the Services or their data; try to break or bypass security, rate limits or access controls; or use the Services to break any law.

7. Website content

The articles and tools on our website are for general information. They are not legal, tax or financial advice, and examples are illustrative. Rates and rules change; check current sources before relying on them.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Services available but do not promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid service, we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Hopelight will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, loads or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or US$100 if you have not paid us).

11. Termination

You can stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or put other users or the Services at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and tell account holders about significant changes by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the updated terms.
